Custom software development for Auckland businesses
If off-the-shelf software keeps getting in the way, we can build something that fits. If you don't need custom code, we'll tell you. We're a software development team in Auckland, and we build, host and support custom software for businesses across New Zealand.
What we build
- web applications your staff or customers log in to
- internal tools that replace spreadsheets and manual workarounds
- integrations that get your existing systems talking to each other
- customer portals for orders, bookings, documents or account details
- dashboards that show what's actually happening in your business
Need a mobile or desktop app? See our app development page.
How a custom software project runs
- We start with your requirements: what the software has to do, who will use it and what it has to connect to.
- We propose a solution, with a fixed price and a time frame.
- We work through the project in stages, each with its own fixed price.
- If something unexpected comes up, we come back to you for input before we go further.
- After launch, we host and look after the software if you want us to.
You always know the price of a stage before it starts, and nothing changes without a conversation first.
Custom software pricing in NZ
Our custom software projects typically cost between NZ$8,000 and NZ$50,000, depending on their size. We work out where yours sits once we understand your requirements.
Each stage of the project has a fixed price, agreed before we start it.
Bespoke software development with the right tools for the job
We don't push one framework or language on every client. We choose the tools that suit the job, the systems you already run and how long the software needs to last. You get software that fits your business rather than our habits.
Custom software solutions we've built

Digital road sign Android app
A mobile app for programming a digital road sign: upload images, set schedules and configure the sign. We also wrote the software on the sign itself, which reads the vehicle speed from its radar and shows a custom message when a driver goes over the set speed.
Website traffic analytics dashboard
An internal dashboard that breaks down where a company's website traffic comes from: location, internet provider, originating network and whether the connection is residential. It gave the company a full picture of its traffic patterns and helped it fight AI bot abuse and scraping of its website.
Hosting and support after launch
You choose where your software runs: on-site on your own servers, in a cloud account, or in a data centre you pick. We set up the hosting and deployment through our DevOps service, so updates can go out without downtime.
After launch, we fix issues and make changes as they come up, or you can keep us on a retainer.
When custom software isn't the answer
Custom software isn't always the right call. If an off-the-shelf product already does most of what you need, it's usually cheaper to adjust your process to fit it, or to connect it to your other systems. If you can't yet describe what the software has to do, that's the first job, and it doesn't need any code.
We'd rather tell you that on the first call than build something you don't need.
Custom software questions we get asked
How much does custom software cost?
Our projects typically cost between NZ$8,000 and NZ$50,000, depending on size. Every stage has a fixed price, agreed before the work starts.
How long does a project take?
That depends on the size of the project. We give you a time frame with our proposal, and we tell you straight away if anything changes it.
Who owns the code?
We're flexible. Ownership of the code is agreed with you at the start, based on what your business needs.
Can you work with our existing systems?
Yes. Integrations with the systems you already run are one of the things we build.
What happens after launch?
We can host the software for you and handle maintenance as it comes up, or work on a retainer. If you'd rather host it yourself, we can set that up too.
Do you only work with Auckland businesses?
No. We're based in Auckland and work with businesses across New Zealand and further afield.
